“It really is your one-stop shop,” says Darcy Hope, president of Evergreen Exhibitions. “Even if you’re in the early stages, it gives you a chance to start your conversations about your project, talk to people and get ideas. Then, when the time comes to start planning, you have a place to start from, without having to drive all over town.
“The opportunity is just invaluable in so many ways,” Hope says.
Here’s a look at what you can expect at this fall’s Vancouver Island home shows:
- Meet experts across numerous sectors: This fall, with some of the previous issues around staffing and supply chain issues lessening, visitors can expect a robust lineup of exhibitors across a variety of sectors and industries. Find everything from design and decor experts to renovators, window and door replacement, solar energy and HVAC installers, landscapers and more!
- Find home show-specific deals: In addition to being able to compare products and service providers, many exhibitors also offer special pricing, just for home show attendees, Hope notes.
- Discover other ways to save: One of the highlights of the fall home shows is the chance to speak to experts from BC Hydro and Fortis BC, not only about the latest innovations in home heating, cooling, cooking and more, but also about current rebates that can make those innovations more affordable. Even better, you can take what you learned from the utilities, then chat with the installation companies, all on-site!
- Enjoy some fun finds: While there’s lots of serious ways to improve your home, the Evergreen Fall Home Show is full of fun finds, too – those unique items you won’t find anywhere else. You’ll also be in the running for a sensational prize – roundtrip airfare for two, anywhere in North America!

Coming fall home shows on Vancouver Island are:
Victoria – Oct. 13 to 15 and Pearkes Recreation Centre. Visit Friday, from 1 to 8 p.m.; Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cowichan Valley – Oct. 20 to 22 at Cowichan Exhibition Park. Visit Friday, from 1 to 6 p.m.; Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Nanaimo – Oct. 27 to 29 at Beban Park Social Centre Auditorium. Visit Friday, from 1 to 6 p.m.; Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Campbell River – Nov. 3 to 5 at Campbell River Sportsplex. Visit Friday, from 1 to 6 p.m.; Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
