While it’s been an unseasonably warm winter so far, it’s still easy to catch a chill during a damp afternoon. Warm up from the inside out with delicious, authentic foods and beverages from Maharaja in Mission. These authentic Punjabi dishes are made in a traditional tandoor (clay oven) and are sure to transport you to warmer climates after just one bite!
Maharaja in Mission first opened its doors in 2022 following the success of the Sachdev family’s business at their location in Surrey. ‘Maharaja’ means ‘King’ in Punjabi, and Owner Amit Sachdev says that is how they treat their guests, like Kings!
“We want all of our guests to feel comfortable when coming into our establishment and trying our food,” Sachdev says. “Our servers are always happy to answer any questions that our guests may have about the different items on our menu. That being said, we promise no matter what dishes you try at Maharaja, your tastebuds will be thrilled!”
With cooler weather expected to finally arrive later this month, Sachdev suggests popping in for a cup of homemade ginger or masala tea and suggests pairing Maharaja’s homemade brews with their mouth-watering, authentic samosas, pakoras or a customer favourite like their Lamb Saag, Prawn Korma or Chicken Tikka Masala.
Along with their delicious in-house menu items, Maharaja in Mission also offers a unique and memorable catering service.
“Our approach to catering is more of an experience than just a meal,” Sachdev says. “We show up an hour or so before the event to get our kitchen set up, including our traditional clay oven. Guests are welcomed with freshly cooked appetizers and later a full dinner buffet that is prepared on site with fresh ingredients.”
With the busy wedding season on the horizon now is a great time to plan ahead and wow your guests with an amazing live-catering event unlike any other.
