Discover your swing at Victoria’s Highland Pacific Golf

Let’s face it, life can be stressful. The good news is that your hobbies don’t have to be. With warmer days now upon us, the front nine is calling golfers to the course!

Whether you’re new to golf, a seasoned pro with the driver, or seeking to improve specific skills, Highland Pacific Golf welcomes everyone.

Jeff Palmer, the General Manager at Highland Pacific Golf, has been working with Greater Victoria golfers for more than seven years, and is dedicated to growing the golf community on Vancouver Island. The first step is to offer high-quality courses and training at an affordable price

“When you’re getting better at golf, you don’t quit the game. What makes us a special place is that you don’t have to be a golfer to come to Highland Pacific Golf. Everyone is welcome, we want to lower the barriers. The driving range is a great fun spot to get started and then once you want to become more serious, boy, do we have great coaches to help you get there.”

Palmer acknowledges that golf can be intimidating to those who are unfamiliar with the sport, but he encourages newcomers to be open-minded and eager to learn.

The course dress code isn’t implemented on the driving range, encouraging golfers to come as they are. As players transition to course play, some standard guidelines are used for health and safety.

To get started, Palmer recommends newcomers sign up for a drop-in class before considering other sessions and memberships. Here’s everything you need to know about Highland Pacific Golf’s current programs.

Private Lessons & Semi-Private lessons

Private and semi-private golf lessons are a great way to learn. The Golf Academy at Highland Pacific Golf will help improve your game, both on and off the course. After talking to your instructor, you’ll set goals and work out a program to get you there. This is individualized for every learner, depending on their strengths and weaknesses, physical capabilities, time commitment, etc. Your classes will depend on your goals but can include time on the driving range, short game area, and the golf course.
