Juan de Fuca Soccer welcomes young players to the pitch this fall!

The Timbits Soccer program, organized by JDF Soccer, is back for the fall and winter seasons, offering young children aged four to six a wonderful introduction to the sport. These sessions provide an enjoyable and supportive environment for kids to develop their soccer skills while having fun.

The program caters to three main age groups: U4 for children under four, players can start as young as they wish. U5 and U6 for those under five and six respectively. The U4 program is perfect for kids new to soccer, focusing on basic skills through playful activities. The U5 and U6 programs build on these fundamentals, introducing more advanced concepts and gameplay.

A new feature this season is the introduction of indoor sessions for all weekday practices, ensuring that players are comfortable regardless of weather conditions.

Additionally, parents now have the option to enroll their children for a half-season, which runs until the Christmas break. This is an excellent opportunity for families new to the program to try it out without committing to the full season.

All sessions are led by trained JDF staff, ensuring high-quality instruction. Each participant receives a full soccer kit, including a jersey, soccer ball, shorts, and socks. An important aspect of the program is the involvement of parents or guardians, who are encouraged to participate in the sessions alongside their children, creating a supportive and engaging environment.

The fall and winter schedule begins the week of Sept. 7 to 12 and runs through to the week of March 8 to 13, with a winter break from Dec. 21 to Jan. 5. Sessions are held once a week, with consistent times but varying field locations, communicated via email and the PowerUp app.

Registration fees are structured:

  • $100 for half-season and $200 for full-season for U4 players
  • $110 for half-season and $220 for full-season for U5/U6 players.

Financial assistance is available for families in need, and alternative payment methods can be arranged through the registration system.

In addition to the fun and physical activity, the program emphasizes the development of important life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship. With the first sessions starting in early September, parents are encouraged to register early to secure a spot for their child.
