M&M Food Market is currently running a campaign in support of their ongoing partnership with BGC Canada (formerly the Boys and Girls Club of Canada) with the goal of raising $100,000 in-store between May 9 and June 9. In support of their efforts, Langley’s local store in Willowbrook Park will be donating a portion of sales from their weekly featured items to BGC Canada.
“We’re excited to offer a portion of the sales from our featured products throughout May and early June, hoping to encourage our compassionate customers to help us on our current mission: raising $100,000 for BGC Clubs and supporting them in their good work empowering kids and teens across Canada,” says Langley M&M Food Market, owner, Robert Davison.
M&M Food Market partnered with BGC Canada during the pandemic in 2020. Since then, they have donated over $400,000 in cash donations, gift cards, and food donations, thanks to the collaborative efforts of M&M Food Market customers, Franchise Partners, Store Managers, Meal Advisors, and Head Office staff. Donations received by BGC Canada go towards their primary goals of supporting Canadian children and youth in overcoming barriers and developing vital life skills.
Davison himself has also gone above and beyond in the past to support BGC Canada, providing 100 Langley residents with a holiday meal and frequently helping supply a variety of meal items including burgers and hot dogs to the local BGC Langley branch.
“For some kids and youth right here at our local Langley BGC branch, food insecurity is a real concern. With that in mind, we try to donate food to Herv Bezjak (Club Coordinator) and his team as often as possible, ensuring there is always something available for the kids that need it,” says Davison.
From now until the campaign ends on June 9, you can visit M&M Food Market’s Willowbrook Park location at 6175 – 200 Street, Building D in Langley and purchase any of the weekly featured products located in the discover display, Davison’s team will donate a portion of sales from these featured products to BGC Canada. You can also make a one-time donation directly to BGC Canada during checkout.
