Four signs your A/C system needs a check up
- New Noises: Modern A/C systems should run quietly and blend into the background noise of your home. If your system is making noticeable noise, it’s time to call a technician.
- Lack of Cold Air: While a lack of cold air might seem like an obvious problem, it can be caused by a number of issues.
- Bad Smells or Leaking Water: This is most often the result of condensation not draining properly from your A/C unit. It’s important to resolve this issue quickly to prevent mould and moisture build-up.
- Too Short or Too Long Cooling Cycles: Failures in efficiency, such as turning on and off frequently, running for an extended period, or running in short cycles, are all causes for concern. These issues can result in higher electricity bills and should be addressed promptly.
