As a fixture in the White Rock community for the past 35 years, Russell Avenue Dental has a longstanding reputation for its warm, friendly atmosphere and compassionate team members.
Dentist and owner Dr. Gianni Mario Pisanu has always had a passion for dentistry. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree (Pharmacology and Therapeutics) at UBC, followed by his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, and is a former B.C. Dental Association board member. His dedication to cosmetic dentistry has kept him focused on advancing not only his own skills but also on training the next generation of dentists.
“Cosmetic dentistry and education have remained my two passions throughout my career. As a part-time faculty member at UBC and a clinical instructor in their dental program, I’m a big advocate for advancing my skills through continuing education and helping educate and train the next generation of dentists,” Pisanu says.
Since taking on the leading role as owner of RA Dental in 2021, Pisanu has brought his passion for cosmetic dentistry to the forefront of the practice. While still a community leader in family dental care, RA Dental also offers implant porcelain crowns and bridges, white composite fillings, clear aligners, guided implant restoration and a range of other cosmetic services.
“I really enjoy helping my patients find a new sense of confidence and joy through repairing their smiles,” Pisanu says.
“Our smile is more important than many people realize, and a lack of confidence when smiling can impact us in many profound ways, including how we interact with our peers, friends and loved ones. All dental work is done in our very modern and sterile facility in a caring, gentle and pain-free manner.”
While Russell Avenue Dental accepts all major insurance plans, Dr. Pisanu also notes that they only charge basic dental fees. They strive to be sensitive to costs while still offering comprehensive treatment designed to look great and be long-lasting.
